Application
Fill up the enclosed admission form in capital letters and kindly confirm your participation by sending the application form, which, should reach srjan’s office before 15 days of your arrival with a demand draft of Rs 1000/- towards an advance. The draft made out in favour of Srjan should be payable at Bhubaneswar.
The application should include
- Resume with two recent size photographs.
- Photographs and/or video recording (PAL system) of your performance if any.
- Photographs and/or video recording (PAL system) of your performances if any
- Published papers/articles if any
- Press reviews, if any
Categories
There will be two sections in summer course.
- Section-1 Students who have already learnt or learning basic exercises, Chauka-Tribhangi, Steppings, Mangalacharana
- Section-2 Students who have already learnt Batu, Pallavis & Abhinaya or having learning experience of two years in Odissi dance.
Teaching Procedure
Participants will be taught one new item per course period.
Notes :
1) Section-2 can join the classes of Section-1 only to practice old items, without paying any extra fee. However, any one from Section-2 wishing to learn a new item in section-1 will be required to pay an additional fee of Rs 3000/-.
2) Any student from Section-1 can also join the classes of Section-2 by paying an additional fee of Rs 3000/- if the student of Section-1 is considered eligible by Srjan to attend the classes of Section-2.
Fees for Summer Workshop
- Fees will be charged on a COURSE PERIOD basis
- The COURSE PERIOD will be considered as 15 days from the date of joining and Students attending classes for a part of any COURSE PERIOD will be required to pay full course fees.
Rs 5000/- for one COURSE PERIOD (15 days)
Rs 8000/- for two COURSE PERIOD (30 days)
Foreign Student will be charged as per the above said fees
- If the students wishes to learn any item or special choreography which is not included in our approved list of dance items for this year’s Summer Workshop, the student will be required to make separate payment for such dance items
Class Timings
Supervised learning time may extend up to three hours per day.
Lodge & Board
1) Students will be required to share accommodation for the purposes of better interaction; hence individual accommodation is not encouraged. 2) The course fees would include lodging and boarding charges only for those students/participants who opt to stay in Srjan’s hostel throughout the duration of the course. This is subject to space available in the hostel at that time.
3) Mattress will be provided by Srjan. Students are requested to carry their own pillow and bed sheets and other necessary requirements.
Belongings
Students are requested to keep their personal belongings and valuables like gold ornaments, cash, watches etc in their own custody. Srjan (Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Odissi Nrityabasa) will not be responsible for any loss or damage.Fee structure and course content are not negotiable.
All legal proceedings will be restricted to Bhubaneswar jurisdiction.
Srjan’s decision will be final and binding on all students.
